many English schools people pronounce , restaurant as restoran.

so english and Bahasa malaysia sound the same.

that's the problem. many of these advertisers pick up the BM and when they do the signs in english, it comes out very much like BM version.

these signs were obviously typed by the boss' school-going children or a worker who have some studies in the government schools. phonetically, the spelling are almost 'korrect! korrect! korrect!'
